BGHC Community News (May 2025)

Hey, BGHC Fam!

The postseason is upon us. May the playoff gods be in your team's favor! Just as some teams' journeys are coming to a close, two new teams are joining the PWHL in Vancouver and Seattle.

This is an open invitation for both organizations to take our Get Uncomfortable pledge and begin with a commitment to foster an inclusive culture on and off the ice.

The GR8 Chase is Complete.

Congrats to Alex Ovechkin on surpassing Wayne Gretzky as the NHL's all-time leading scorer. Our first DC Meetup in December 2018 was such a pivotal moment for our community, so our Caps fam will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Ovi is still continuing the chase in partnership with The V Foundation and Hockey Fights Cancer. All proceeds go towards the Alex Ovechkin Pediatric Cancer GR8 Chase Research Grant. You can join him below.
